We should all do our best in trying to keep black bear visits to the Park at a minimum. This requires everyone to bear-proof their camp lots and we recommend you use the link below to get practical advice on the do's & don'ts of coexistence. Living with black bears in Ontario. To report a bear problem call 1-866-514-2327, in a life-threatening emergency, call 911 and ask for the Timmins police service.
CAMP FIRES - SAFETY FIRST
Sections 8.4 and 8.7 of O. Reg. 207-96 applies to all Camp fires, at our Park. When permitted, they may be lit only in approved in-ground fire pits between 7PM & 1AM and must be put 'dead-out'. No more than 1 cubic meter of fire wood may be kept in your lot and no combustibles within a 3 meter radius and overhang of the pit. When a ''restricted fire zone' is in effect no fires are permitted without the express consent of Park Management. See open fire regulations in the Forest Fire Prevention Act.
